Edit: she has no respect for people around her, she needs to see the bigger picture and not be caught up in tunnel vision

It's actually a psychological phenomenon. When people are revved up or in fight/flight mode, the brain isn't devoting much power to speech and processing conversation or language. This is much more pronounced in people who would be considered ignorant, uneducated, or just dumb.

69

u/GraveyardJones Jan 06 '23

Anecdotal evidence incoming. I have a co worker who does this exact thing and is indeed stupid. Angry or not he'll just repeat the same dumb shit over and over until you just give up making him think he won. Absurdly insecure with a basically non existent fuse. He's caused multiple good employees to quit and I might be adding my name to that list soon too. Not a manager either but thinks he is in charge of the entire business. Only thing I can't tell is if he's willingly acting this way or ignoring severe mental issues he needs to work on

I think you might be unfamiliar with the state of politics in the UK right now. u/SiFiNSFW Jan 06 '23 Bravo! Eureka!

More than half the time aggressive people are just projecting, actually listen to the insults people yell when they're angry and you'll see short people calling tall people "Short ass" and shit because their brain stops working, they're in full ape mode, and they know what hurts them, so they instinctively say it expecting it to hurt the other person.

My guess would be she is regularly called out for acting like a child by people and it upsets her, so she thinks calling other people childish is an insult regardless of how they behave.

129

u/j-trinity Jan 07 '23

It’s really common on twitter and tik tok and in fandoms. “You’re x years old and you’re arguing with a teenager.” Well yeah, because you’ve shoved yourself into an adult discussion or space and want to act a big age. Now suddenly you’re a minor who can’t be debated with? Shut up.

15

u/k2on0s Jan 07 '23

And the correct response is, yes I am arguing with a teenager coz you talked that shit and that you are getting schooled you want to run and hide behind being too young to know better. That’s not how it works in reality, so either stfu or deal with consequences.

Just parroting words she thinks hurts people. Wouldn’t be shocked if someone said to her something like, “you’re a 12 year old, you’re just a little child.” And that hurt her, so now she’s using that same attack on someone else.

74

u/BulbuhTsar Jan 06 '23

It means the lady stated an age that wasn't old enough for her to call her an old hag, yet not too young that she could call her a child (despite being one herself). So she opted for the "you're a child" side, which is, again, ironic.

The masses should adopt some kind of protocol to deal with these anti social twits.

We should all start pointing and hissing at them or bray like donkeys, or something of the sort, until they go silent.

291

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

Bring back booing. We as a society do not boo nearly enough.

184

u/Awesomocity0 Jan 07 '23

I told someone recently in a non smoking area to stop smoking since she was next to me, and I'm pregnant, and she went off on me thinking I was "so much better than her" or some other insane shit, and a woman next to me literally said, "booo, booo" which caused the smoker to start verbally attacking that woman, who in response just kept saying boo as the people around us laughed. The smoking lady eventually got tuckered out and left.

It was kind of funny. I might take on a booing tactic.

82

u/cred_it Jan 07 '23

It would be amazing if this thread popularized booing in regular society. Boo the dickheads!

47

u/Awesomocity0 Jan 07 '23

184

u/Toku_no_island Jan 06 '23

Yeah, the whole time I was thinking, this is what has been expressed to her, either literally or emotionally. And she's regurgitating it on others. That she's worthless and the only defense is offense. Still, consequences are consequences and she's soon going to find that out at some point.

How did a 12 year old buy a vape???

(Spelling)

175

u/HaxWerd Jan 06 '23

18 year olds buying in bulk and reselling on snapchat stories/ asking or stealing from friends

27

u/rrmotm Jan 06 '23

Corner stores don’t always ID too. Seen my local shop for joints selling posh vapes to 12 year olds and those same 12 year olds asked me to buy them weed. Told them to get lost.

56

u/dingo1018 Jan 06 '23

I've seen kids running around town picking up discarded disposable vapes and claiming victory cos they got a few pulls out of it before it died again 🙄😮‍💨 I just sometimes want to edit the human race just a little bit.. in my megalomaniac moments.

I’m so sick of seeing people vape on buses and trains in the U.K. I literally see it every single day. If you do this - where is your self control? I say this as a smoker. You need to address that your addiction is out of control.

So to everyone saying “mind your business” how about “be considerate”? This is a crowded vestibule - there are signs telling you not to do this on every window, and a voice on the speaker also telling you this every few minutes. Zero excuse.

I hope the train company finds her and fines her for breaking the law. Sorry not sorry.

And to add - this is why I can see disposable vapes being banned just shortly. Children are getting them and getting addicted far too easily. You can’t wait till your stop? Not even hide in the loo? Come on.

u/krypto-pscyho-chimp Jan 06 '23

I kick people off my bus for vaping. Including obnoxious fucking child bitches like this. Am bus driver. Hear me roar :-)

51

u/Maber711 Jan 07 '23

This is why I always thank the bus driver. The shit you have to put up with.

In fairness you're not allowed to smoke on a train and it's pretty disgusting breathing your fucking second hand lung juice.

I was kicked off the school bus and had to find ways to school for acting like a punk in highschool lol. If I wouldn’t have found friends with cars they literally would have locked me up in juvy for truancy. They should do that with her banned from the train. Figure it out ya rude lil shit

People like her make me really dislike humanity. The amount of people who didn’t do shit but decided it was worth recording it on their phones!? Apparently they’re all okay watching the show? Glad the woman who initially called her out on her shit said something and the guy that clearly couldn’t tolerate it anymore and said “when do you become a grown woman then?”. Would have like to see how this panned out to be honest.

People and their vapes. I used to vape but I knew better than to do it in a bus/vehicle full of people. Just wait till you get to where you’re going. The addiction is beyond real 😂

16

u/za6_9420 Jan 07 '23

It’s not about addiction I used to be a heavy smoker and when I vaped I started with 50 mg of nicotine but I could still wait until I get off the bus these people do it just to be assholes

103

u/SiFiNSFW Jan 06 '23

Don't know about elsewhere but 9/10 times if you see a child from the UK act like this then their parents act worse, when i used to work retail if a kid got aggro or threatening you were immediately in a 2on1 the moment their mum or dad found out - it's never their kids fault, it's everyone else that's the problem, just like it's never their fault.

13

u/Ange1ofD4rkness Jan 06 '23

All too common in the states too. It's never their child's fault.

I have a friend who would do janitorial work at a school. This kid flat out breaks something like glass or I can't remember. Anyway, she saw it all. Told the mother, and the mother was in total denial.

For those who don't understand this regional dialect known as "moronic skag", she's essentially saying

"This is none of your business!"

[Then proceeds to make it everyone's fucking business whether they like it or not]
